The mission of the Software Integration & Visualization Office (SIVO) is to provide leadership in the development of advanced scientific software and state-of-the-art visualization tools and products in support of the Sciences and Exploration Directorate.

SIVO provides competencies in the areas of computational science, visualization techniques, and software engineering. SIVO's goal is to develop effective, high performance software using industry practices that minimize cost and risk, and visualization tools that enable science and help explain our work to policymakers and to the public.

For the MAP Modeling Environment, SIVO provides services in areas such as: training for model external experimentation; assistance in accessing, browsing, porting, re-engineering model code; integrating MAP investigator contributions; and visualization product and tool development.
